Snow Trucks, 30 x 40, oil on linen
This is something a little different for me. I was drawn to this scene by the strong shadow family of blue and orange – a complementary combination. The light family was also the background so it made for an interesting juxtaposition of light and dark. The location is near my studio in an industrial/warehouse area.

Hi Ron! This painting is awesome. I realize that I haven't seen you in a while -- I hope you're doing well, and finding many stunning views to capture, with all the snow we've been having this winter. The other week, every single branch was coated in a layer of ice. On my way to school, I walked by a huge Ford pick-up truck completely covered by a bamboo grove that fell from the ice's weight. The sun was just peeking out at dawn and created glimmers in the otherwise hoary walk up the hill. Lovely.
